Volunteers are the life blood of foodbanks. Your skills could be just what we need.
Volunteers are the driving force behind foodbanks. There are thousands of volunteers across the UK, helping The Trussell Trust Foodbank Network get emergency food to people in crisis. We want you to enjoy volunteering and there are lots of ways to get involved. Whatever role you choose, you will make a real difference to the life of someone in crisis.
Helping at one of our food bank centres
We have a number of opportunities for one-off volunteering in December at weekends and evenings, if you are interested please get in touch. If you would like to be an opening hours volunteer or are enquiring about a corporate volunteering day please get in touch in the New Year as we currently have no additional capacity.
We need versatile volunteers to help with our Foodbank at the Oasis Centre. You may be helping to weigh, sort and pack food parcels for clients to collect, or you may be meeting with clients, chatting with them over tea and providing signposting to further support.
We also need volunteers at our St Johns Waterloo site, there you will be sorting donations, packing food parcels and chatting to clients:
Keen photographer? We would love you to come and take photos of our storeroom,
volunteers and at one-off events. Get in touch for current opportunities.
If you are interested in volunteering please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you!
