Centre reopening

15th October 2021

We’re delighted to say, after 18 months we will be reopening some of our centres for collection for food parcels.

We’re continuing to work closely with Vauxhall, Clapham Park and Norwood & Brixton Foodbanks. As the Lambeth Foodbanks Partnership, we are able to best support those in our community with a colloborative approach to running our Foodbanks.

Opening our centres gives us an opportunity to meet people face-to-face and at some of our centres offer additional services such as advice, meals, other affordable food options and more.

We will reopen St George the Martyr on Thursday 21st October, Emmanuel Church on Thursday 21st October and Hope Church Vauxhall on Wednesday 27th October. Further centres will open in the New Year.

Collection criteria

Collections will be available initially for

  • Referrals for up to three people
  • Those who are able to travel to a centre and carry a parcel home.
  • Those in the postcode areas covered by each centre (see below for further details)
  • Referrals made with 2-3 working days before a centre is open

For any families with 4 people or more, or those with mobility or other health issues, we will still be offering a delivery service, however we would encourage those who meet the collection criteria to collect rather than have delivery, to ensure we are best using our resources for those who most need delivery.
